Yep, getting similar dropouts after one of the more recent patches, makes playing the game impossible from any angle aside from station trading really |

Here are ping plotter results:
http://i.imgur.com/yqyMP.jpg [the red bars are the % of packet loss, the thick ones are where the dropouts occur]
i have had the occasional random dropout in my time of playing eve, and it has never irked me in the slightest, but at the moment i can guarantee it will happen once or twice within every hour of playing.
I will be dropping my subscription till someone pulls their finger out. as it is pretty much unplayable at the moment. With the frequency of dropouts, i cant really leave the station with any degree of safety.
Have sent email to ISP and also to CCP, surprise surprise, CCP have not bothered answering at all yet... |

Yeah, same, i have been given the automated 'install pingplotter' response as well, if they had of actually read my petition past the title they would have seen that i had already done that.
Regardless of that, it is actually nice to finally get a response 'of sorts' even if it is automated.
I have also pointed them to this thread, so hopefully they will get on it.
So, i've been monitoring ping plotter results, everything is fine, few packets dropped here and there, eve runs smooth, and then my client drops out, checking ping plotter results while this happens, i notice that i get a solid block of packet loss, and it climbs ONLY in the last 4 hops, 3 of them being CCP's own servers, and the jump between CCP and the router ahead of this [195.219.67.246] the percentages only climb on those 4 hops, none other
Seems someone was having simlar problems back in 2011>
http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1461414&page=1
and CCP eventually rerouted the server and fixed the problem... if you are having problems, make sure you petition it |

CCP Mort wrote:ok - we are not ignoring you guys ...
so, about ping tests - has anyone seen packetloss with ping/ping plotter tests to 87.237.38.200 - at the same time you are thrown out of EVE ?
so.. for the tech's - open a cmd window - have a ping 87.237.38.200 -t running in the background...
do you lose pings when thrown out of the game ?
Traceroutes are good for me to see the path/what provider you are using, and request-timeout in the traceroute only means a router in the path is not replying to the traceroute tool.

Yes, im watching pingplotter as the dropouts occur, over time there is occasional packetloss, but nothing too strenuous for the client to handle, then at the exact moment the client drops connection, there is an error reported ['ERR'] for the last 4 servers, [3 of them being the CCP ones and the first hop out, you can see this in the picture i linked earlier in this thread] http://i.imgur.com/I47M5.jpg
Note: none of the other routers in the route are reporting error
Pingplotter reports a solid red chunk of 100% packetloss sometimes up to 60 seconds worth, usually more like 20 or so seconds, and then the client drops me back to the login screen
and the whole process is repeated over and over again...
At the most inopportune moments...
And as fequently as 2 [sometimes 3-4] times an hour..
Have spoken with my ISP, they were very quick to respond, and had a look at it from their end, they changed my IP, but as expected it has done nothing to stop the dropouts from occuring |

Lucus Ranger wrote:Same problem as everyone else. It keeps logging/crashing me to desktop. It's pretty random I've noticed; also I can have both my accounts online and only one will crash while the other is fine... Been like this for a while now.

Route seems to be back through Global Crossing but apparently they've changed the hampster, hopefully last another couple years So far so good... I'll hold off for a thanks to CCP for another couple few days. Same here -- fired up the client without using BattlePing and so far no disconnections. And it's back to the route with Global Crossing. They need to change the hamsters more frequently, I think... It would still be nice if someone from CCP dropped in and told us what the problem was and how they fixed it. CCP Mort? ... Mort? ... Mort? Guess he's sick... My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw CCP Mort pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious. (Random question: why is there no CCP Bueller? There totally needs to be one...)
haha, love it !
